Rapid Access Cardiac Clinic in Dublin
Including Atrial Fibrillation (AF) Clinic Services
If you are experiencing palpitations, an irregular heartbeat, a racing pulse, dizziness, or have recently been told you may have atrial fibrillation, waiting weeks for answers can feel stressful.
At Heart Rhythm Cardiologist, rapid access assessment for heart rhythm concerns is led and delivered directly by leading cardiac consultant Dr Jonathan Lyne.
Unlike at private hospitals, patients can contact us directly (with or without a GP referral) and, where clinically appropriate, be seen urgently.

How Rapid Access Works For You
We prioritise appointments based on clinical need. When you contact the clinic, we will ask about:
- Your symptoms and when they started
- Any recent ECG or heart monitor results
- Whether you have been discharged from hospital
- Current medications
If available, please provide copies of:
- Recent ECG
- Holter monitor reports
- Discharge letters
- GP referral letter
Providing this information helps us assess urgency and arrange the most appropriate appointment. Where clinically indicated, patients may be seen within days.
Have recent ECG results or discharge paperwork? Call us and we’ll review urgency.

Early assessment helps reduce anxiety, clarify risk, and ensure appropriate protection against complications.

We work closely with hospital-based services where procedural intervention is required.
